Strata managing agent licence is suspended while Fair Trading investigates
NSW Fair Trading has suspended the licence of Ms Christine Ng as it continues to investigate alleged conduct relating to failure to pay money to trust accounts and failing to meet other statutory obligations for strata managing agents.
Fair Trading has reasonable cause to believe there are grounds for taking disciplinary action against the licence holder in relation to the following conduct:
- Failing to pay significant sums of money into an approved trust account.
- Appointing an individual to a strata office position without their consent.
- Failing to comply with a notice to produce documents issued by NSW Fair Trading.
- Breaching the rules of conduct, including failing to act in a client’s best interests.
Ms Ng has been issued with a Show Cause Notice and may respond to the allegations against her by 25 March. During this time, Ms Ng will not be able to conduct business as a real estate agent or strata managing agent while suspended.
Disciplinary action undertaken by NSW Fair Trading is published on the recently launched ‘Name and Shame’ List, a search tool where people engaging with the property market can research disciplinary action taken against licenced real estate agents and strata managing agents.

NSW Fair Trading has taken this action against Ms Ng to protect consumers and the regulator’s investigation is ongoing.
