Broken Hill’s Mental Health Prevention and Rehabilitation Centre extends opening hours
The Mental Health Prevention and Rehabilitation Centre at the Broken Hill Hospital campus has extended its opening hours.
The centre is now open Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 8pm and Saturday. 9.30am – 5.30pm. It offers a peer-led program, designed to support mental health wellbeing in a safe, welcoming, and recovery focused environment.
Mental Health Prevention and Rehabilitation Centre Manager, Tahlia Guerin said the expansion of opening hours would help improve accessibility to the service’s programs.
“Whether you’re just beginning or continuing your recovery, the Mental Health Prevention and Rehabilitation Centre is a place where you can feel supported, understood and empowered to take the lead in your journey,” Ms Guerin said.
“Your mental health matters and support is here when you’re ready.”
The Centre offers:
- a variety of group activities tailored to each consumer’s recovery needs,
- a supportive space to connect with others,
- compassionate peer workers with lived experience,
- a place to grow, reflect, and heal at consumer’s own pace.
