Have Your say on a place name in Sutherland Shire LGA

The track is located within Hungry Point Reserve, at 196 - 202 Nicholson Parade, Cronulla. The track features a raised and suspended boardwalk extending Cronulla Esplanade along the eastern shoreline to the southern point of Hungry Point Reserve.

Frank Cridland CBE (1893 - 1954) was a Sutherland Shire resident and local historian, whose knowledge and passion for the area inspired him to write The Story of Port Hacking, Cronulla and Sutherland Shire, published in 1924. It became one of the most important works on the history and development of the Sutherland Shire. 

Mr Cridland was made a Commander of the British Empire in 1920 for his involvement in the Australian Comforts Fund and Master Carrier's Association during World War I.

Frank Cridland had a vision of a public walkway around the Cronulla peninsula. The current esplanade walkway partially achieved his vision. 

GNB is seeking feedback to gauge community sentiment for the proposed name and suggestions for alternative names are not being sought at this time.
