Albury Wodonga Regional Hospital Project Final business case summary released
In line with the NSW Government Business Case Guidelines, a summary of the final business case for the Albury Wodonga Regional Hospital Project is now available on the Infrastructure NSW website.
The NSW, Victorian, and Australian Governments have committed $558 million for the project to deliver enhanced and expanded health care services in contemporary facilities at the Albury Hospital campus to support Albury, Wodonga and border communities.
The Albury Wodonga Regional Hospital Project is being delivered by Health infrastructure (NSW), in line with the NSW Government’s infrastructure, capital planning and procurement policies and framework, which is available on the NSW Treasury website.
Commencement of early works, including the Northeast Building and additional parking works was supported by earlier approvals, including the strategic business case approval by the NSW Government in January 2025.
The completion of early works will allow main works construction, including the proposed Clinical Services Building, to commence. The process to appoint a main works construction contractor is anticipated to be completed in the coming months.
To support the business case development, more than 2,500 people including health service staff, patients, stakeholder groups, community members and local councils have taken part in consultation and engagement activities, shaping the planning and design for the project, including the new Clinical Services Building.
Staff consultation, a key element of business case development, was undertaken through more than 100 Project User Groups, including Albury Wodonga Health executives and clinical and administrative staff. Clinician engagement and endorsement of the design components of the business case has been essential to ensure the delivery of high-quality care for border communities.
