Albury Wodonga Regional Hospital works notification - Temporary Parking
From Monday 7 July new temporary parking works will commence on the Albury Hospital Campus to improve patient, staff and public safety.
Works include:
- Site establishment including installing fencing around work sites
- Construction of temporary car parking on East Street for patients, staff and visitors – with permanent car parking to be delivered over the next 12 months following grant of relevant approvals
- Construction of a permanent footpath on East Street to ensure safe pedestrian movements
An agreement between Albury City Council and Health Infrastructure (HI) has provided access to verge land along East Street and Borella Road, which will allow HI to improve the existing temporary parking arrangements along East Street. These parking arrangements will complement the broader parking strategy for the campus.
Contractor Parking
Dedicated contractor car parking will be established at the far end of Borella Road adjacent to Keane Street. Contractor Hansen Yuncken will prepare the area for parking, ensuring pedestrian access along Borella Road is retained and safe.
Construction staging and mitigation
Work will be carried out between 7.00am and 6.00pm from Monday to Fridays and 8.00am to 1.00pm on Saturdays. No works will be undertaken on Sundays or public holidays without prior written approval.
Signage and traffic management will be in place to ensure safe pedestrian and vehicle movement.
For your safety, please follow the directions of traffic controllers at all times. During these temporary car parking works, every effort will be made to keep noise, dust and vibration to a minimum.
The project team, through careful planning, will work to minimise impacts from machinery and construction activities.
Health Infrastructure and Albury Wodonga Health understands that parking, traffic congestion, and safety are important issues for staff, patients, visitors and the broader community. We are committed to keeping you informed and addressing concerns as they arise.
