Artist impressions unveiled for Sydney Children’s Hospital Stage 1 and Children’s Comprehensive Cancer Centre
New artist impressions for the Sydney Children's Hospital Stage 1 and Children's Comprehensive Cancer Centre have been unveiled.
The $608million redevelopment project is set to transform children's health by physically co-locating clinicians, researchers and educators to accelerate learning discoveries and engage clinical innovation with bedside care. The project will deliver a state-of-the-art paediatric health, medical research and education facilities at Randwick, including:
- children's emergency department
- emergency short-stay unit
- children's intensive care unit
- inpatient units for medical and surgical specialties
- Australia's first Comprehensive Children's Cancer Centre.
More than 2,000 clinicians, researchers, staff, consumers and community representatives have been involved in the design process to ensure the hospital and research facility meets the changing needs of the community now and for decades to come.
