Broken Hill Health Service Redevelopment: changed traffic conditions for concrete works
Construction on the last stage of the Emergency Department (ED) upgrade is now underway. As part of this work, concrete needs to be poured at the rear of the ED on 9 August from 6.30am - 1.30pm. This work will start earlier than approved work times – this change has been approved.
About the work
Concrete will be poured at the rear of the ED, with concrete trucks to enter and depart via Chloride Street every 30 minutes, causing minor disruptions to vehicular traffic between Chloride Street and the rear of the ED.
How the work will affect you
- A traffic controller will be present to direct traffic – please follow directions at all times.
- Current site fencing around the ED Stage 3 zone will be temporarily removed to allow truck access with bollards and bunting separating the work zone. Please do not enter this zone.
- The fencing will be reinstated after the concrete is poured and the area cleaned.
- There is some extra noise associated with this work from the trucks and concrete pumps.
