Campbelltown Hospital’s $632 million redevelopment unveiled
Updated images have been released for the Campbelltown Hospital Redevelopment, which is set to bring contemporary health facilities to the Macarthur region.
Health Infrastructure and South Western Sydney Local Health District have unveiled updated images for the Campbelltown Hospital Redevelopment.
The redevelopment is due for completion within four years, and includes:
- a bigger emergency department
- new 12-storey clinical services building
- new birthing suites and maternity ward
- new nuclear medicine
- dental services.
In addition, the number of paediatric beds will more than triple to 70. A new $34.1 million carpark will open by the end of 2019, adding 700 spaces at the hospital.

The Stage 2 redevelopment adds to Campbelltown Hospital's $134 million first stage development, which was completed in 2015. Stage 1 included a multi-storey acute services building with:
- new inpatient wards
- ambulatory care
- outpatient unit
- allied health services
- pathology and clinical information.
- the refurbishment and reconfiguration of the existing maternity department, paediatric outpatients, emergency department and support services within the existing hospital buildings.
Construction on Stage 2 of the Hospital is set to commence in 2019.
