Work is continuing for The Children's Hospital at Westmead Stage 2 Redevelopment.
About the works
Construction activity is continuing to progress for The Children's Hospital at Westmead (CHW) Stage 2 Redevelopment, with works for the new Paediatric Services Building (PSB) ongoing, including:
- internal fit-out and commissioning activities, and
- external works and landscaping.
Pedestrian and traffic changes
As always, please follow direction of signage and site staff for your safety. There may be some changes to traffic conditions while work is taking place including intermittent stoppages and lane closures.
Motorists are reminded to slow down to 20km/h while travelling along Redbank Road.
Our work hours
This work will occur during standard construction hours (Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm, Saturdays 8am to 5pm). We will provide further notification of any work that is required to take place outside of these hours.
How we will manage works
For your safety, please stay on marked paths, and follow the signs or any directions from traffic controllers during construction.
Noise, dust and vibration will be closely monitored. Mitigation measures are in place, including:
- Site hoarding and fencing
- Water trucks to manage dust
- Traffic Management in Research Lane to ensure flow and safety of construction and emergency vehicles
