Construction on the Caringbah NSW Ambulance Superstation powers ahead
The Caringbah Ambulance Superstation is being built as part of the NSW Government's $150 million Sydney Ambulance Metropolitan Infrastructure Strategy program.
Caringbah's new Superstation will sit at the heart of the Caringbah Paramedic Response Network cluster and will be where paramedics start and end their shift from. Construction on the station is expected to be finished by the end of the year.
"The project is coming together nicely, and we are all extremely proud to be delivering new stations for NSW Ambulance,” said Senior Project Director at Health Infrastructure, Alex Badgery.
The Sydney Ambulance Metropolitan Infrastructure Strategy (SAMIS) is focussed on building and upgrading NSW Ambulance facilities across the Sydney Metropolitan area.
The SAMIS has reshaped NSW Ambulance’s operations in metropolitan Sydney, transforming the majority of the existing 43 ambulance stations into a network of superstations, supported by smaller, standby stations called paramedic response points.
