Design unveiled for new Bargo Ambulance Station
The design of the new Bargo Ambulance Station has been unveiled, offering the community a first look at the modern station set to strengthen emergency and mobile care across the Macarthur region.
Bargo is part of the NSW Government’s $615.5 million NSW Ambulance Infrastructure Program, which will deliver 30 new ambulance stations and supporting infrastructure over the coming years.
The purpose-built station will include:
- Internal parking for up to eight emergency vehicles
- On-site vehicle wash facilities
- Administration and logistic areas
- Multipurpose spaces
- Staff amenities including a gym
- On-site parking.
Bargo was identified as a high priority location by NSW Ambulance following a comprehensive service planning process which used best practice modelling software to map Triple Zero (000) calls.
Located on the Great Southern Road, Bargo, the new station will optimise response times and better support the delivery of emergency and mobile medical care for the local community.
Planning and design for Bargo ambulance station is almost complete, with construction expected to begin this year, following planning approval and the appointment of a builder.
Over the coming years, the NSW Ambulance Infrastructure Program will deliver 30 new ambulance stations and supporting infrastructure across Sydney, the Central Coast, Newcastle, Hunter and Illawarra regions.
