Expressions of Interest open for Manning Hospital Redevelopment Arts Working Group community reps
Community members from the Manning area are being invited to register their interest to be part of the Arts Working Group for Stage 2 of the Manning Hospital Redevelopment, to help shape the arts and culture within the new health facilities.
Engagement with the arts has a beneficial impact on wellbeing and helps to deliver welcoming, calming and dynamic health care spaces for patients, carers, staff and families.
The new spaces at Manning Hospital will integrate art that reflects the unique and diverse community of Taree and surrounds, creating culturally appropriate and welcoming spaces to complement health service delivery.
An Arts in Health Strategy for the redevelopment will be developed by Health Infrastructure in consultation with a local Arts Working Group, currently being established.
Expressions of Interest for community members to join the project’s Arts Working Group are now open. The group will advocate for the successful integration of arts for wellbeing into the redevelopment.
Successful applicants will be required to attend regular meetings which will run for approximately one hour each, with online and in-person attendance options. The first meeting is expected to take place in March 2026. It is anticipated that up to six meetings will be held in 2026. Membership is in a volunteer capacity.
Interested members are being encouraged to submit their Expression of Interest form by Sunday 22 February 2026.
