Griffith Base Hospital's new carpark and main entry now open
A new carpark and main entry at the new Griffith Base Hospital is now open, providing patients, staff and visitors in the region with more convenient access to health services.
The Griffith community are benefiting from direct access to the Emergency Department (ED) and the hospital’s new Main Entry, which have been delivered as part of the $250 million Griffith Base Hospital Redevelopment.
On-site parking improvements are providing enhanced accessibility near the hospital’s main entrance and ED, including dedicated drop-off zones, disability parking and accessible spaces for patients with limited mobility.
Public access to the hospital car park is via Gate 7 on Noorebar Avenue. Changes to the existing main carpark will also take effect to improve traffic flow.
Signage is in place on the hospital campus to assist drivers and pedestrians with the new access arrangements.
Construction for the redevelopment is continuing to progress, including work to complete the final stage of a new carpark, as well as the hospital forecourt and landscaping. A refurbishment of the Ambulatory Care Hub is also nearing completion and is expected to open next month.
The Griffith Base Hospital Redevelopment remains on track for completion in 2026. It follows the opening of the three‑storey Clinical Services Building in June last year, the centrepiece of the redevelopment, which consolidates all major hospital services in a modern, purpose-built facility.
