Gunnedah Hospital Redevelopment community open day
We're opening the doors to the new acute services building on Wednesday 26 November 2025 for a sneak peek.
The new acute services building is the key piece of the $53 million Gunnedah Hospital Redevelopment, and the community is being invited to take a look inside before it opens to the public.
A community open day will be held on Wednesday, 26 November 2025 from 3-7pm where you will be able to take a guided tour of the new hospital building. Spaces are limited and bookings are essential, reserve your tour spot now by booking via the Try Booking website.

Tours commence from the entry to the new emergency department off Anzac Parade. Parking is limited and recommended along Anzac Parade and Reservoir Street. There is a drop-off area near the emergency entry.
A free BBQ will be provided following the tours from approximately 5pm.
The new acute services building includes the expanded emergency department, birthing, maternity and inpatient unit, and ambulance entry and bays, complemented by landscaped gardens and courtyard areas.
Main works construction commenced in mid-2024, following on from early works, and has been completed by Richard Crookes Constructions.
Staff, patients and the community are thanked for their patience while construction has been occurring.
The opening date for the Gunnedah Hospital acute services building will be announced soon, along with detailed information on parking and access. In the meantime, patients and the community are asked to continue to access the hospital via the existing entry points.
