How to access the new Griffith Base Hospital
All health services on the Griffith Base Hospital campus, except dental, are open in the new hospital. This includes all services in the Ambulatory Care Hub, NSW Pathology Collections and the Renal Unit.
Access to the new hospital
- Access to the new hospital remains the same for now. The public will continue to use the existing hospital main entry to access the new hospital.
- Assistance buttons are available at the front entrance for the public who may require additional assistance.
- If someone is experiencing a life-threatening medical emergency, an ambulance should be called. This is a safer option than driving to the hospital.
- Public car parking remains in the same location. A drop-off/pick-up zone, 15-minute zone and several new accessible parking options are available at the front of the old hospital for those with limited mobility.
- A new pedestrian ramp has been installed near the old hospital main entry to support access from the main car park.
- There will be progressive changes to the carpark, including traffic flows, to enable building demolition and construction of the new main entry. See map below. Motorists and pedestrians are asked to observe signage, follow traffic control directions and take care as you move around the car park and campus.
- The new main entry, new drop/off pick up zone and improved car park will be constructed after building demolition and is expected to open in 2026.

- If someone is experiencing a life-threatening medical emergency an ambulance should be called.
