Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct works notification - Hospital access changes

From 16 December 2024 Liverpool Hospital Entrances L and N and drop-off zones at Campbell and Forbes Streets will close as works begin on Stage 2 of the $830 million Liverpool Health Academic Precinct redevelopment.

Alternative access from Monday 16 December

Staff, patients and the community will access the hospital via the new Entrance A, corner of Goulburn and Elizabeth Streets, and Entrance J, Burnside Drive. Both entrances have drop-off zones and after-hours access.

Parking is available at:

P1 car park, near Entrance A, on the corner of Goulburn and Elizabeth Streets
P2 and P3 car park, near Entrance J, on Burnside Drive.

Hospital parking

Visitors can use the new P2 car park or P1 and P3 car parks for hospital parking, accessible between 6am to 10pm daily.

Hospital access from the car park is via Entrance A or Entrance J, accessible 24 hours.

Parking hours:

P1 car park is open from 6am to 10pm accessed via Goulburn Street.
P2car park is open 6am to 10pm accessed via Burnside Drive.
P3car park is open 6am to 10pm accessed via Burnside Drive.

Getting around the hospital campus

Following the Entrance L and N closures, pedestrians and vehicles will be required to use alternate hospital entry points:

Entrance A

24-hour access.
Best parking P1.
Best entry for:
- Birthing Unit
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
- Women's and children's wards
- Endoscopy
- Wards A to B
- Peri Operative Services
- 050, 051
- 150, 151, 152, 153, 154
- 252

Entrance J

24-hour access.
Best parking P2 or P3.
Best entry for:
- Pharmacy
- Intensive Care Unit
- Wards C to F
- 033 - Admissions
- 103 - 133
- Mental health
- 011 - Nuclear Medicine or Medical Imaging

Note: For after-hours access (8pm to 6am), use Entrances A or J.
