Nepean Redevelopment Construction Update April 2026

Exciting progress continues onsite with the 'Nepean Hospital' sign installed on the top of the new Stage 2 building.
On Level 6 in the paediatric unit, staff stations, patient bedrooms and supporting spaces are shaping up with joinery being installed.
On Level 7, the new palliative care unit is nearing completion with pavers being installed at the large outdoor terraces. Patients will have direct access to these spaces from their bedrooms giving them amazing views of the local landscape.
Externally, the site has become a hive of activity with multiple landscaped areas including the southern courtyard, being progressed. Both staff and visitors will be able to take advantage of these lovely green spaces.
Work continues on extending the covered walkway that will guide patients and visitors from the ground floor level P1 carpark to the main entry of the hospital.
Please pay close attention to traffic signs and drive carefully while construction continues along Barber Avenue.
Excitement is building with construction due for completion in late 2026.
