Nepean Redevelopment Construction Update August 2025
Summary of the latest Nepean Hospital Redevelopment construction activities in August 2025.
Exciting progress continues on Stage 2 of the Nepean Redevelopment.
With the concrete structure of the new Stage 2 building nearing completion, the second of the two towers cranes, located on the southern end, has been dismantled on site.
The crane, which was 100m high, was used for handling construction materials including steel and concrete elements around the site.

The other tower crane will remain onsite until the end of construction.
When complete, the new seven-storey building will feature a welcoming main entry, reception area, an Aboriginal Mudyin (Family) Centre, and retail spaces designed to serve staff, patients and visitors.
Inside the building, walls are going up across Levels 0 to 6 which includes Nuclear Medicine and Medical Imaging, Renal Dialysis unit as well as the new ICU department.
Work has also commenced on the building’s exterior façade bringing the vision of a modern, patient-centred hospital one step closer to reality.
Meanwhile, the new loading dock is one step closer to completion with roofing expected to be completed in coming weeks. Inside, the builders are preparing the walls for painting and the flooring. Once completed, the loading dock will have increased capacity to service the hospital campus.
Across the campus, construction is progressing well on the new purpose-built Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Unit.
The external brickwork is almost complete, and other façade works are well underway. Inside, the unit is coming to life — ceiling and window framing are in progress, glazing is being installed, and waterproofing works have begun in the bathrooms.
Next to the CAMHS building, the new Total Asset Management (TAM) building is making good progress. All three concrete slab pours are complete, and steel framing and roofing are underway. The TAM building will house hospital maintenance staff and their equipment.
Thank you for your support and patience as we progress Stage 2 of the Nepean Redevelopment.
