Nepean Redevelopment Construction Update July 2025
Summary of the latest Nepean Hospital Redevelopment construction activities in July 2025.
The recent sunshine has enabled the builders to power ahead on the Stage 2 Nepean Redevelopment.
The Level 7 concrete slab including the external courtyard of what will be the new palliative care unit is now complete. Preparations are now underway for the Level 8 concrete pour.
Recently, the builders removed the interior scaffolding on the ground floor of the Stage 2 building revealing what will be a grand three-storey atrium at the entrance of the new hospital.

The ground floor will feature a clear main entry, welcoming reception area, including an Aboriginal Family Centre and retail spaces.
Walls and partitions are also being installed on Levels 0 to 4 as well as Nuclear Medicine in Building A. Works are also commencing on the exterior façade of the building.
Elsewhere, construction is continuing on the new hospital loading dock with structural steel work now erected. The roof of the new loading dock is expected to be installed in coming weeks.

Across the campus, solid progress is being made on new purpose built Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services Unit, with external brickwork of the new unit now complete and other façade works well underway.
Internally, the different spaces are taking shape with ceiling framing, window framing and glazing works well underway. Waterproofing works for bathrooms have also started.
Thank you for your support and patience as we progress Stage 2 of the Nepean Redevelopment.
