Nepean Redevelopment Construction Update March 2026
Exciting progress continues at the Nepean Redevelopment with the three-storey atrium taking shape.
The adjoining sections that lead into the atrium have been completed with ceiling panels, decorative timber battens along the walls and continued terrazzo tiling to match the atrium.
Work has begun on creating a new outdoor space for patients and staff. This new area will be an extension of the existing green space between Building E and the existing tower, giving access to fresh air and natural shade from large palm trees.
Internally, there has been major progress within the new ICU department. Other levels are progressing with final coats of paint and the installation of fixed joinery.
Construction is due for completion in late 2026. This will be followed by an operational commissioning period to prepare the new building to welcome staff and patients.
Road works are continuing on Barber Ave, which will lead vehicles and pedestrians to the hospital’s main entry. Over the coming months, there will be partial road closures to upgrade the road and roadside parking.
Please pay close attention to traffic signs and drive carefully while construction continues along Barber Avenue.
