On 19 May, Minister for Regional Health Ryan Park and Member for Bega Dr Michael Holland visited the Eurobodalla Regional Hospital site to announce a $24 million investment in Key Health Worker Accommodation across southern NSW.
Communities in Crookwell, Bega and Eurobodalla will benefit from the program, which aims to attract, recruit and retain health workers through new and upgraded housing. The initiative is part of the broader $200.1 million Key Health Worker Accommodation program supporting more than 20 projects across rural and regional NSW.
During the visit, the Minister and Dr Holland toured the construction site of the new $330 million Eurobodalla Regional Hospital, where major progress is underway with the concrete slab and structural framework for the ground and first floors taking shape. Work has also commenced on a new roundabout on the Princes Highway to support future hospital access.
