Eurobodalla Regional Hospital marks one year of construction
The new $330 million Eurobodalla Regional Hospital has reached a significant one-year construction milestone, with new drone footage capturing the scale of work completed to date.
Major earthworks are completed and in-ground services have been installed setting the foundation for the structure, which is emerging above the ground.
Concrete slabs have been poured for key clinical areas, bringing the region another step closer to a state-of-the-art health facility that will provide access to modern, high-quality care.
The new hospital has been designed with the capacity to grow as demand for health services changes, supporting the provision of patient-centred health services closer to home.
It will include:
- an Emergency Department
- an 8-bed intensive care unit/close observation unit
- increased access to chemotherapy treatments and renal dialysis
- surgical and operating theatres, including a day stay surgical unit
- expanded medical imaging department, including MRI
- ambulatory care for community and outpatient services
- paediatric and maternity services, and a special care nursery
- mental health beds for short term care
- enhanced education and training, including a simulation lab.
Construction of the new Eurobodalla Regional Hospital is expected to be completed in 2027.
