Preserving history at Moree Hospital
As construction on the $105 million Moree Hospital Redevelopment progresses, the history of the Crane and Glennie Building has been documented and preserved.
The Crane and Glennie Building, Mahaffey Building, and Kiosk have been demolished to provide space for the new acute services building and associated landscaped areas being delivered as part of the redevelopment.
The Crane and Glennie Building was the last remaining 20th century hospital building on the site. Construction for the building commenced in 1913 and it opened in 1917.
Prior to demolition, photos were taken of the Crane and Glennie Building to preserve its history.
