Quality care continues as redevelopment progresses
Quality care remains a top priority at Ryde Hospital as construction activity progresses.

Health Infrastructure
The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment has reached a significant milestone with the necessary interim healthcare facilities now complete.
These interim facilities, including a new Intensive Care Unit/Critical Care Unit (ICU/CCU), hospital kitchen, executive and engineering building, loading dock and various linkways have provided contemporary amenities for both patients and staff, while ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality care remains at Ryde Hospital throughout the redevelopment.
These facilities will remain in place throughout construction, with the services to move into the new hospital building once completed. Wherever possible, material and equipment from these interim facilities will be repurposed in the main hospital build.
Construction of the new hospital is expected to be completed in late 2027, with the new main entry, demolition and landscaping to be completed in 2028.
To support environmental restoration, the team recently launched the “Adopt a Seedling” initiative, with around 200 native seedlings distributed to staff and community members for nurturing and future planting in the Blue Gum High Forest.
Parking changes were introduced on 14 May to support construction, with adjustments made to undercroft and Graythwaite parking. Access to the Emergency Department and drop-off zone remains unchanged.
