Temora Hospital Redevelopment Works Notice June 2026 - Temporary access and traffic changes during Stage 4 construction works
The Temora Hospital Redevelopment is continuing to progress, with temporary access and traffic changes required to support upcoming Stage 4 construction activities.
The redevelopment will deliver a modern health facility to support the future healthcare needs of the Temora community, including new clinical spaces, upgraded infrastructure and improved patient and staff facilities.
To safely facilitate the next stage of construction, changes to vehicle circulation, staff parking, and access arrangements will take place across parts of the hospital campus from early June 2026.
What is changing?
From the week beginning Tuesday, 9 June 2026:
- Construction fencing will be installed around sections of the hospital roadways to support ongoing works
- Access to the rear of the hospital building and boiler house area will be unavailable during construction activities
- Changes to vehicle circulation will be implemented.
Signage and traffic management measures will be in place to assist patients, visitors, staff and contractors during these changes.
Please follow all onsite signage and directions from traffic controllers where required.
Access and parking impacts
Some vehicle access routes around the hospital campus will be impacted while work is underway.
The location of public vehicle parking remains unchanged.
We encourage all patients, staff and visitors to allow additional travel time when attending the hospital during this period.
Working hours
Construction hours will continue to be:
- 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday
- 8am to 1pm Saturdays, where required.
Minimising impacts
Health Infrastructure and Richard Crookes Constructions are working closely with Murrumbidgee Local Health District to minimise disruption to hospital operations and neighbouring properties during construction.
Measures to reduce impacts include:
- planning works to minimise noise and disruption wherever possible
- maintaining safe pedestrian and emergency access at all times
- implementing traffic management and directional signage onsite
- scheduling high-impact works appropriately to reduce disruption to staff, patients and visitors
- monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
All hospital services will continue to operate during construction works.
