Temora Hospital site changing as early works progress
Recent visitors to the hospital may have noticed changes to the grounds, with the demolition of the eastern wing, staff accommodation and day centre buildings marking the next phase of the $95 million redevelopment.
Demolition of these buildings, and site preparation, will pave the way for construction of the new hospital, scheduled to begin in early 2026.
All hospital services will continue during the construction period. Please continue to use the hospital main entry for access to the Emergency Department and Reception.
Access the following services in the hospital: Reception, Emergency Department, Medical Imaging, Theatres, Pathology Collections, Physiotherapy, Day Infusions, Maternity and the Inpatient Unit. Visitors should continue to see inpatients on Level 1.
You can find the Dietitian, Community Nursing, Child and Family, Mental Health Drug and Alcohol, and other visiting services in the temporary Ambulatory Care Building located at the front of the hospital. Please visit reception in this building to access these services. A temporary car park is under construction nearby to provide additional carparking. See map for directions.
Please call the hospital on 02 6980 0200 if you require directions.
Thank you for your patience while we complete these important works for the Temora community.

Weaving memories into the new hospital
We’re excited to share that The CAD Factory, a renowned heritage and arts curator, has recently been engaged by the project. Led by the talented team of Vic and Sarah McEwan from Sandigo, near Narrandera, The CAD Factory brings a wealth of experience from community and health initiatives across Australia. Their role will be to lovingly showcase our existing cultural collections, while creating a storytelling project that celebrates the proud history of the hospital and its deep connection to the community.
Through creative outcomes, they will help weave memory into place, ensuring that the stories of care and compassion are not only preserved but shared in meaningful Consultation sessions will be held with community members in 2026, more information will be provided soon.
