About our NGO unit
The NGO Program Unit supports a partnership approach with the non-government sector, managing funding agreements between NSW Health and local NGOs aimed at delivering projects that improve the health and well-being of the community.
The Unit’s main focus includes setting up grant funding agreements, making payments, monitoring performance, ministerial updates and supporting NGO projects.
Health funded NGO projects follow NSW Health’s goals and policies and focus on local needs.
They cover areas including:
- Women’s health
- Aged care and disability
- Palliative care
- Population health
- Community transport
- Drug and alcohol
- Mental health
- Aboriginal/Oral health
The Unit operates within the grant administration guidelines set out by NSW Health and the NSW Government Grants Administration Guide.
Funding agreements are support by: Funding Agreement Standard Conditions (PDF 231.45KB).
