About the service

We provide a range of health care services to meet the evolving needs of babies, children, young people, and their families. Our single network is built around our tertiary (secondary) facility, John Hunter Children's Hospital.

It combines hospital and community-based services across Lake Macquarie, Upper and Lower Hunter, Port Stephens, Lower Mid North Coast, and Greater Newcastle regions. We also offer a wide range of community-based services, including mental health support.

We connect clinical services for children, young people, and their families with professional disciplines in the Hunter and New England regions, providing an accessible, integrated health care system.
