Compliant materials
The Component Requirements outlines performance criteria for selected products. It is important to note that not all building materials are listed.
Any materials you use for Homes NSW projects must:
- follow current Australian Standards, service authority requirements, legislation and regulatory requirements.
- meet performance criteria, which may need written certification from the manufacturer or supplier. You will need to submit these to us before installation.
- Meeting performance standards
Always use the latest Australian Standards, National Construction Code, or NSW variations.
We will accept international and national standards if the manufacturer or supplier can provide proof that is equal to a certification completed by an independent third party.
Using approved products
The Deemed to Comply Product Register lists approved products that meet the performance criteria outlined in the Component Requirements.
You can use other products if they follow the Component Requirements.
To have a product assessed, submit a Deemed to Comply Application Form (XLS 56KB).
