Community housing water charging guidelines

CHPs can only charge tenants for water in accordance with these Ministerial Guidelines. The Guidelines are consistent with section 139 of the Residential Tenancies Act 2010.

Note that levying water charges is not compulsory for CHPs. CHPs can choose whether or not to charge for water usage based on their operational needs.
