Planning context – Shoalhaven

Shoalhaven City Council

Shoalhaven City Council is reviewing and undertaking a range of strategic studies across the LGA including the Shoalhaven Growth Management Strategy and Local Housing Strategy to identify future dwelling supply, strategic locations for new homes, and required housing type/diversity.

This work is likely to result in amendments to local planning controls.

Transport for NSW

Transport for NSW is leading upgrades to the Princess Highway over a 20-year period. This upgrade will create better connectivity to and within the LGA.

Community housing providers

Approximately 1,400 dwellings owned by the Homes NSW in Shoalhaven LGA are managed by community housing providers (CHPs).
