NSW Social Housing Assistance Commissioning Data Report

This report provides a comprehensive overview of social housing assistance across NSW. It includes data on applications for housing assistance, supply of social housing dwellings, tenancy management, private market assistance, and demographic and market insights.

The dataset used in the report improves the granularity and quality of information available to the sector for service delivery planning. It includes data on current tenants and people on the social housing register, at both the individual and household levels.  While other reports focus on the head applicant or head tenant, this report also makes other household members visible. Variables are disaggregated for Aboriginal people and households. 

The report is accompanied by a privacy protected appendix, which includes further detail at the allocation zone, district and cluster levels. The appendix must be read in conjunction with the report in order to understand the data definitions, limitations and caveats.
