The 2025 NSW Street Count results
The 2025 NSW street count is the sixth annual statewide rough sleeping street count.
2,192 people were counted sleeping rough in the 2025 NSW street count – an 8% increase compared to 2024.
Street counts took place between 4 February and 26 February 2025, in more than 415 towns and suburbs in 77 local government areas (LGA) across NSW.
Over 370 local organisations either consulted in the planning phase or participated in the delivery of street counts. Partners included Community Housing Providers, local councils and Specialist Homelessness Services, as well Aboriginal organisations, Local Health Districts, local community groups, and Police.
