Mosman Council cyber incident
Mosman Council has advised that it is responding to a cyber incident involving a third-party software provider that occurred in May 2026.
The Council is currently contacting individuals whose personal information may have been affected by this incident. If you have received a notification from Mosman Council, please follow the guidance provided in the correspondence.
Steps you can take to help protect your personal information:
- Be cautious of unsolicited emails, text messages, phone calls, or letters requesting your personal or financial information.
- Do not click on links or download attachments from unexpected or suspicious communications.
- Monitor your bank accounts, credit cards and other financial accounts for any unusual or unauthorised activity.
- Change passwords for important online accounts if you are concerned they may have been compromised.
- Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) on your accounts where available for an added layer of security.
