Projects supported by the Investment Delivery Authority
The Investment Delivery Authority (IDA) will break down barriers to large-scale private investment in NSW, by cutting red tape, coordinating across government and encouraging large projects across the state.
Overview of projects supported by the IDA
To date, the IDA has endorsed 31 projects collectively worth $86.3 billion. These projects represent a significant pipeline of private sector investment into critical sectors for NSW, including digital infrastructure, the energy transition and visitor economy.
The first Expressions of Interest (EOI) round focused on major private sector projects in renewable energy and energy security, data centres and technology valued at $1 billion or more and hotels critical to the visitor economy valued at $200 million or more.
The IDA are currently supporting:
- 15 data centre projects valued at $51.9 billion
- 14 renewable energy and energy security projects valued at $34 billion
- 2 hotel projects valued at $482 million.
