About the NSW Innovation and Productivity Council
We provide trusted independent advice and research to help New South Wales grow jobs, boost exports, and attract investment. Our work supports innovation and productivity across the state. We are a statutory body established under the Innovation and Productivity Council Act 1996.
What we do
We are an independent group of experts from business, government and universities who:
- research innovation, productivity and economic performance
- give the NSW Government advice based on data and global insights
- support new ideas and better policies that help the state grow.
Our goal is to make NSW a thriving hub for business, innovation, talent and visitors.
