Global logistics giant chooses NSW
NewCold is a Dutch company and one of the world’s largest cold chain and automated warehouse operators. It manages 25 advanced storage facilities across three continents, supporting food and pharmaceutical supply chains.
The company is now expanding in Australia to meet growing demand for efficient, high-volume cold storage.
Sydney investment supported by NSW Government
Investment NSW supported NewCold in planning its entry into the Australian market. Our team helped the company with:
- advice on choosing a site with strong links to ports and manufacturers
- insights into skills availability and workforce planning
- guidance to navigate planning and approvals processes.
After receiving internal board approval, NewCold began development of a cold storage facility in Marsden Park, Sydney.
Jobs and local growth
Once complete, the Sydney facility will:
- support national supply chains
- boost the capacity of NSW’s cold storage sector
- create 100 new jobs across operations, logistics, and technical roles.
This investment highlights NSW’s strengths in advanced manufacturing, transport and logistics.
