Leading hydrogen storage innovation from NSW
Rux Energy is a clean technology company based in NSW. It develops advanced hydrogen storage solutions for heavy transport and industrial use. Its nanoporous materials improve the safety, efficiency and cost of hydrogen storage. This, in turn, makes storage more compact and affordable. Innovations like this support the global shift to low-emission fuels.
Expanding to the UK and EU with NSW support
Investment NSW has helped Rux Energy expand into the United Kingdom and Europe by:
- providing in-market support through its teams in NSW and Europe
- supporting Rux’s participation in the 2024 World Hydrogen Summit in the Netherlands
- facilitating introductions to major clean energy partners across Europe.
This support helped position Rux Energy as a technology leader in the hydrogen sector.
Grants and future exports
With Investment NSW support, Rux Energy secured two grants from Innovate UK, focusing on:
- field trials and pre-deployment testing
- preparing for large-scale port and maritime decarbonisation in the UK.
Investment NSW continues to support Rux Energy in building its international brand. We help them prepare manufacturing exports from NSW for global clean tech markets.
