The NSW Government has commenced an open tender process to deliver a vibrant new future for the Entertainment Quarter (EQ) at Moore Park.

Expressions of Interest opened on Friday 24 October 2025 and closed on Friday 5 December 2025. 

Expressions of Interest are now being evaluated by the NSW Government with independent probity oversight.

The open tender process will seek proposals that deliver on the following outcomes for the EQ:

  • Deliver a highly attractive hub of activity that celebrates heritage, enhances public accessibility and is commercially sustainable
  • Create spaces that can host substantial audiences for live performances, with the potential for an indoor arena of 15,000–20,000 seats as part of the vision
  • Increase visitation all year round, including during the week and at night
  • Integrate with the broader sports and entertainment precinct and parklands, improving accessibility and sustainability
  • Embrace the history and cultural heritage of the site, supporting connection to First Nations communities and local residents
  • Retention of the site as a public space.
