Overview of this event
Hop into citizen science this FrogID Week! Frogs croak, bark, whistle, and bleat - come along to learn how each species speaks and uncover some fascinating frog facts.
Event details:
Join South East Local Land Services for a fun, hands-on citizen science session this FrogID Week (7-16 November).
Discover how to identify, count, and understand your local amphibians using the FrogID app, developed by the Australian Museum. We’ll guide you through how to record frog calls on your smartphone and introduce you to some of our local species.
Once you know the ropes, you’ll be ready to explore your own creek, dam, or wetland, capture frog calls, and contribute valuable data to national research. You might be surprised just how many frogs are out there!
Additional details:
This is a night-time event near water. To participate in this event, you must bring gaiters, gumboots or waterproof shoes, clothing for all conditions, a torch and head torch and your smart phone.
There will be no catering or toilets at these sites.
