Overview of this event
From the intricate architecture of a flowering spike of a grass, to a flowering spike of a Xanthorrhoea to the varied colours of the Waratah, Banksia and Grevillea; the more you look, the more fascinating it becomes.
Learn to record and capture your favourite flora using pencils and watercolour, and harness their beauty through very learnable skills with a workshop over one weekend. The workshop includes:
- brief introduction to botany
- description of equipment used
- choosing a specimen
- drawing basics
- composition
- watercolour techniques
- botanical art support online.
You will have a watercolour painting to take home, or complete at home with a take home brush and palette with your chosen colours on it. Equipment not taken home remains at the community hall for use.
Registration Required – limited places
