Join North West Local Land Services and Tamworth Regional Landcare Association (TRLA) for a workshop on dam enhancements, ecosystem management, ecological corridors, biodiversity, and practical restoration tools.
Event details:
Learn practical strategies for enhancing farm dams and managing ecosystems on your property with host landholders Wayne and Nell Chaffey, ecologist Liz Blair from Ecosystem Thinking, and Paul Moxon from TRLA nursery.
What you’ll explore:
demonstration of Farm dam enhancements and benefits
building ecological corridor on a farm -stories from landholders
valuing fauna on farms and environmental accounting
practical tools for ecosystem baselining and restoration ecology
planting design to build an ecological corridor on the farm.
Additional details:
Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
This workshop is designed for landholders, land managers, and anyone interested in integrating biodiversity outcomes with productive farming systems.
Please bring your hat and a chair.
Free plants will be provided to participants for revegetating farm dams
