Overview of this event
Join Central Tablelands Local Land Services for a relaxed and informative paddock walk at the Crudine lime demonstration site. This on-farm session will focus on how legumes and lime work together to build healthy, productive soils.
Event details:
Legumes can provide nitrogen to your soil - but to get the most from them, your soil needs the right conditions. Come along to learn how soil pH, lime and good sampling practices set your paddock up for success.
Guest speaker:
Richard Hayes, Research Agronomist (DPIRD) and well-known “lime guru”, will cover:
new target pH levels and trigger point for liming
new soil sampling methods
where and when to use the incorporation of lime.
Additional details:
Please respect the host farm by bringing clean vehicles free of weed seeds or other biosecurity risks. This is a Come Clean, Go Clean event.
