Overview of this event
Please join North West Local Land Services for a webinar that will go through the impact of urea prices on gross margin, the impact of reduced nitrogen application rates, planting alternate crops (e.g. a legume in lieu of wheat) and going into fallow in lieu of planting.
With the current seasonal conditions and global uncertainty, this webinar is essential for those wanting to ensure their business remains profitable.
You will hear from the following speakers:
- James Hagan – QLD DPI (Senior Economist) – the importance of urea pricing in farming system performance
- Cameron Leckie - SQNNSW Innovation Hub – (Regional Soils Coordinator) scenarios with urea variability in different cropping systems using CropARM
- Bill Manning – North West Local Land Services – (Senior Land Services Officer Cropping) - Nitrogen efficiency
This webinar will also support producers in adapting to variability in seasons and global influences.
This event is supported by the Sustainable Agriculture Facilitator, which is supported by the Australian Government through funding from the National Heritage Trust under the Climate- Smart Agriculture Program.
