Overview of this event
Join us for a relaxed lunch at the Balldale Hotel, where you’ll hear from Texan grazier Hobbs Magaret and connect with other women working in sustainable agriculture across the region.
Event details:
Murray Local Land Services warmly welcomes any women working in sustainable agriculture - both on and off-farm - to this relaxed event to connect, learn and meet others in the region.
Plan for the day:
12:00 pm: Order your own lunch from Balldale Hotel's delicious menu and sit outside. Emily and Kathleen from Murray Local Land Service (LLS) will be there to meet any new faces.
1:00 pm: Head inside to hear from Hobbs Magaret, a grazier, international consultant, lecturer, and Amazon best-selling author of HERD: The Animals That Gave Rise to Humanity and Why We Need Them Now More Than Ever. With deep roots in rangelands from the American West to Spain’s Dehesa and Northern Australia’s savannas, Hobbs’ work is reshaping global conversations about cattle’s role in ecology and sustainable land management. He has recently joined AgriProve as their first Grazier in Residence.
