Helping Put El Nino into Perspective webinar

There are a lot of parallels between what we are seeing this season and what occurred in 2023.

Just like in 2023, a developing El Niño event has become a growing concern for producers across the state, along with what it may mean for winter and spring rainfall.

The big question is: how much attention should livestock producers pay to El Niño forecasts, and what other indicators should be considered?

In this webinar, Matt Lieschke (LLS) and Phil Graham (Graham Advisory) will examine current seasonal conditions in NSW, and discuss what they mean for decision-making in the months ahead.

Topics will include:

• soil moisture and pasture forecast data
• how this information can be used to assess the likelihood of receiving beneficial spring rainfall
• looking beyond the headlines and making sense of BOM forecasts at a local level.
