LANDSCAN is a 6 workshop series designed to help farmers and land managers assess natural resources and match land use to capability while balancing production, profit and sustainability.
Event details:
South East Local Land Services is offering LANDSCAN workshops for landholders in the greater Braidwood region.
This course supports farmers and land managers to assess their property’s natural resources, providing skills to better match land use to its capability and to balance production, profit and sustainability.
LANDSCAN is delivered over six half-day workshops, held monthly, commencing Friday 20 March 2026.
LANDSCAN will help you to:
Develop skills and knowledge to assess natural resources on your property (pastures, soils and topography) to better match land use to its capability.
Improve decision making around managing landscapes and allocating resources to better balance production, profit and sustainability.
Understand the processes and relationships between soil acidity, ground cover, pasture and nutrient decline.
Develop a sound basis for creating or modifying your farm plan.
The course is suitable for land managers of all experience levels, from new to long-term, and for properties of any size who are interested in sustainably managing their natural resources.
Cost:
LANDSCAN is subsidised by South East Local Land Services.
The cost is $300+GST per farm business. 2 members per property/business may participate for this fee.
The cost includes 6 workshop sessions, plus 2 soil tests and the LANDSCAN training manual.
Course delivery:
LANDSCAN is presented over a series of 6 half-day workshops held monthly, commencing Friday 20 March 2026.
Location:
Each workshop is held on-farm within the greater Braidwood region. The address will be supplied to registered participants.
