Overview of this event
Be part of local biodiversity monitoring and help protect frog populations in Lithgow!
This hands-on event will show you how to:
- Learn to identify local frog species from their unique calls
- Discover which frogs live in your backyard or nearby creek
- Monitor frogs and contribute data directly to the Australian Museum via the FrogID app
- Connect with Landcare professionals, neighbours – and of course, frogs!
All equipment and guidance is provided by Lithgow Oberon Landcare and other volunteers. Bring along appropriate footwear, warm clothing, at torch, water and a smartphone with the Frog ID app installed.
This event is part of Central Tablelands Biodiversity Month.
