Overview of this event
This practical workshop is aimed at helping growers and apiarists improve pollination services for healthier crops and higher yields.
Event details:
Join Greater Sydney Local Land Services for a practical, hands-on workshop designed to support pollination-dependent growers and the apiarists who supply pollination services. This session brings together experienced beekeepers and pollination specialists to share best-practice strategies that improve pollination services, support healthier crops and increase overall yields.
We will discuss:
reasons for poor pollination in Bilpin in 2025
how pollination works and why it’s critical for fruit and vegetable production
practical methods for managing honey bees during flowering
placement and stocking rates of hives for optimal pollination
how to identify and troubleshoot poor pollination issues in crops.
Additional details:
Morning tea and lunch will be provided. Although we will endeavour to do our best, please note that registrations after Friday, 29 January may not be able to have special dietary requirements catered for.
