Are you interested in learning how to manage priority weeds, identify Phytophthora, and recognise native species within the Critically Endangered Illawarra Lowlands Grassy Woodland (ILGW)? 

South East Local Land Services is partnering with the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney and the Saving our Species team to deliver an informative, hands‑on day of ecological identification and learning, followed by a walk around the Bundanon homestead to observe weeds, Phytophthora symptoms, and an intact patch of ILGW. 

On the day you'll hear from:

• Professor Brett Summerell and Dr. Matthew Laurence (Plant Clinic, Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney) on the biology and impact of Phytophthora in natural and cultivated ecosystems. 

• Dr Beth Mott, delivering the ILGW project, is discussing one of the rapidly declining peri‑urban woodlands in the Illawarra–Shoalhaven region. 

• Local Land Services will provide practical guidance on priority weed identification and effective control methods. 

There will be time for discussion - please bring your questions and any weed management challenges from your property or local area.
